Daleela, the popular ferry connecting Cyprus and Greece, will resume its regular voyages on Saturday, May 31, 2025. This year’s route includes an impressive schedule of 22 trips, running until September 2, offering residents and tourists a comfortable travel alternative between both destinations.

Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hadjimanoli officially announced the service resumption on Monday, emphasizing its critical significance for transportation and tourism. The decision was made following last year’s Council of Ministers resolution to extend the contract for 2025-2027.

  • Transported 22,582 passengers
  • Carried 772 pets
  • Moved 7,641 vehicles with their companions

Hadjimanoli highlighted the ferry’s special role as a public service (SGEI – Service of General Economic Interest), which:

  • Provides an alternative to air travel
  • Supports individuals with travel difficulties (medical reasons, age, or flight anxiety)
  • Receives an annual state subsidy of 5.5 million euros
